Steps to Segregate Location-wise URL Traffic Using Azure Front Door

Log into the Azure Portal

Create a New Front Door Profile

Configure Front Door Backend Pools

Set up Routing Rules Based on Geographic Location

Configure URL Path and Geo-based Routing:

In the routing rule configuration, specify:

Source URL: Define the URL path or domain you want to route traffic from. This could be an entire domain or specific paths.

Geo-based Routing: Azure Front Door allows you to direct traffic based on the user’s geographic location.

Under the Route Type section, select Geo-routing.

In the Geographic Location settings, you can choose to route traffic based on country, continent, or more specific regions.

For example, route traffic from North America to one backend pool and traffic from Europe to another backend pool.
