    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

    Here are some potential solutions:

Ensure that network discovery and file sharing are enabled on your Windows 11 computer.

    1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under Private, ensure that Turn on network discovery and Turn on file and printer sharing are selected.
    3. Under Guest or Public, ensure the same options are enabled (if your network is set to public).

Ensure that the shared folder permissions are correctly set.

    1. Right-click the folder you want to share and select Properties.
    2. Go to the Sharing tab and click Advanced Sharing.
    3. Check Share this folder and then click Permissions.
    4. Ensure that the Everyone group has at least Read or Change permissions.

Ensure your network profile is set to private, which allows more sharing and connectivity options.

    1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
    2. Click on your current network connection (e.g., Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
    3. Under Network profile, select Private.

Ensure that the firewall is not blocking file sharing.

    1. Open Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall.
    2. Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall on the left side.
    3. Find File and Printer Sharing and make sure it is checked for both private and public networks.

Ensure both computers are in the same workgroup.

    1. Right-click This PC and select Properties.
    2. Click Advanced system settings, then go to the Computer Name tab.
    3. Ensure the workgroup name is the same. If not, click Change to modify it.

    Best regards

    Neuvi Jiang
