I downloaded the Windows Server 2025 ISO from my volume Licensing portal and am trying to activate it.

Up until now, we have always downloaded the product key from the portal and typed it into out Windows server installations. We dont use a KMS.

However there is no product key available to me in the portal, we have current licensing with SA.

I called the # it said to: (888) 352 7140 and its just a loop, basically asking me for an installation code or a product key.

How do I get my new product key for Windows Server 2025.

    Hi All,

I was able to answer my own question.

I had to call Volume Licensing Support to get the MAK keys added to my contract / or profile.

I had tried to call them previously, and could not get past their automated system to a real person, very frusterating.

After about 8 tries (Literally) I just kept saying "volume Licensing" they transferred me to a real person who was able to add the keys to my account.

I was calling the number in this link (same # from my original post). This number seems to be for all licensing and I think that's why it was so difficult to get to the right person for volume license support (Our reseller is the one who gave me this link):

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/existing-customer/activation-centers?oneroute=true

But I think the numbers in this link may be more direct right to Volume License Support. (I didnt verify but looks that way) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/contact-us

Really hope this helps someone, it was a very frustrating experience. For the amount of money I pay for these licenses and software assurance, I should not have to call and ask them to add it.

    Hello,布赖恩·加兰特

Since the activation method you are using is not kms, the following method will get the activation key for server2025:

    1. If your organisation has a volume licensing agreement, you can obtain an activation key by logging into the VLSC website. Alternatively, you can consult the VLSC team for key purchase and other information by calling the VLSC team at the following reference document: Volume Licensing Support Info. | Microsoft Learn

2.If you purchased the retail version, you can get the activation key at the time of purchase, and you can ask the vendor from whom you purchased the iso if they provide the activation key

    Best Regards,

    Chengxili

Your reply is completely unhelpful. The VLSC website has been retired for quite a while and links to the 365 admin center. If you don't know this, you should not be answering this question. The OP states he has SA, so it is clearly not the retail version.

The license keys should be available in the 365 admin center, but Microsoft doesn't seem to care about allowing customers to activate the software for which they have an active subscription.

You can access VLSC from the following link:

Downloads & Keys - Visual Studio Subscriptions

microsoft.com/licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx(VLSC is now offline, you can click the link to jump to M365.)

There is no doubt about it, and VLSC has a professional consulting team you can learn about before replying
