Emmanuel Katto Dubai : Why Is My Product Key Not Working for Windows Server 2024?

I’m Emmanuel Katto from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), I having an issue with activating Windows Server 2024. When I enter my product key, I get an error message saying that the key is not valid. Has anyone encountered this problem or know why it might be happening?

Could it be related to the specific version of Windows Server I’m trying to install, or is there something wrong with the key itself? If anyone has suggestions on how to resolve this, or if I’m missing a step, I’d appreciate any advice!

    Based on the description, I understand your question is related to windows server activation.

    Firstly, please check the specific version of your key matches the machine, for example, Server 2024 standard machine should be activated by the Server 2024 standard product key, not a Server 2024 datacenter product key.

    Also, you can try use below commands to do the activation again.

    slmgr /upk

slmgr /ipk <your product key>

slmgr /ato
