My problem is with Logitech M185 mouse, (and corded mouse added in parallel afterwards to see if that fixed problem. It didn't help). My mouse cursor progressively gets so small that I have go back to SETTINGS and re-increase cursor size several times a day. NOTE: The windows text insertion cursor stays large, only the cursor pointer get progressively smaller.

Any suggestions/solutions would be appreciated.

I'm using OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise

Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631

Mouse Driver C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\MOUHID.SYS (10.0.22621.1, 68.00 KB (69,632 bytes), 2022-05-06 10:19 PM)

    Hello Cesar Duenas (EC),

thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forums.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. **Update Mouse Drivers:**
      • Go to Device Manager.
      • Find your mouse under "Mice and other pointing devices."
      • Right-click on it and select "Update driver."
      • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."
    2. **Check Mouse Settings:**
      • Open Settings.
      • Go to 'Devices' > 'Mouse.'
      • Click on "Additional mouse options."
      • Under the "Pointer" tab, ensure that your settings are saved correctly.
    3. **Check for Conflicting Software:**
      • Some third-party software might be interfering with your mouse settings.
      • Disable or uninstall any recent software that might affect mouse behavior.
    4. **Windows Updates:**
      • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date.
      • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.
    5. **Reset Mouse Settings:**
      • Open 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'Mouse.'
      • Click on "Additional mouse options."
      • In the "Pointer" tab, click "Use Default" at the bottom.
    6. **Check Ease of Access Settings:**
      • Open Settings.
      • Go to 'Ease of Access' > 'Cursor & pointer size.'
      • Make sure the settings here are what you expect and haven't been changed by other software.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there might be a deeper problem with your system. A clean boot can help identify if there's a software conflict:

    1. Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
    2. Go to the 'Services' tab, and check "Hide all Microsoft services," then click "Disable all."
    3. Go to the 'Startup' tab and click "Open Task Manager."
    4. Disable all startup items.
    5. Restart your computer.

If the problem persists even after a clean boot, consider reaching out to Logitech Support for further assistance.

    Hope it helps.

    Kind regards,

    Lei
