I wonder if the registry path is correct.

Contrary to your description, Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\Configuration\DPMTaskController is actually only in the Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\Configuration\TaskController path! Is it the same route? Or is it correct to add it as DPMTaskController?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

The correct path for the Data Protection Manager (DPM) Task Controller settings should indeed be Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\Configuration\TaskController

If you are seeing the path as TaskController and not DPMTaskController, it is best to follow the path you have identified. Adding it as DPMTaskController might not be recognized by the system and could lead to configuration issues.

Note: Please back up registry first before you change it.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
