Hi @James James
According to Microsoft's official documentation, Audio Conferencing is an additional license for Teams that enables people in an organization to use phones instead of computers to call Teams meetings. The Audio Conferencing license is included in the E5 subscription.
So if you want to remove the Audio Conferencing feature for a user, you need to unassign the additional license to the user in the Microsoft 365 admin center:
Using the Microsoft 365 admin center:
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- In the left navigation bar, select Users > Active Users.
- Select the user you want to manage, and then select Licenses and Apps.
- In the Licenses and Apps section, uncheck the Audio Conferencing option.
Using PowerShell:
You can also use PowerShell scripts to remove the Audio Conferencing feature. For details, please refer to: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-add-on-licensing/assign-teams-add-on-licenses#using-powershell.
