Hello Team,

We do not want to create multiple vaults and we want to keep all the backup copies at one place. Hence, we would like to know if it is possible to backup VMs from another subscription to a vault located in different subscription. If yes then it would be great if you can share a reference document or steps to enable cross subscription. (Please do not treat this question as cross subscription restore query)

    Hi Mishra,

No, Azure Backup doesn't support backing up VMs across subscriptions to a single Recovery Services vault. Each vault can only back up resources within the same subscription. You'd need to either move VMs to the vault's subscription or use separate vaults per subscription.
