Sharepoint migration tool using internet expolorer on Server 2016 to authenticate MS365 creds

When trying to open the sharepoint migration tool on server 2016 it opens an IE windows for authentication. I cannot get it to choose a different browser. I have disabled IE in features and rebooted and tried setting Edge/Firefox as my default browser, no luck.

    Hi @David Riley,

    Please try the solutions below to resolve this error:

    1.Disable the Enhanced Security Configuration 

    1. Launch Server Manager and near the top, locate Security Information. 
    2. To the right, select Configure IE ESC__,__ and the configuration window will open.
    3. Select the Off radio button to disable enhanced security for both users and administrators.
    4. Click OK.

    Note. For more information from Microsoft, see  How To Turn Off Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration.

    2.Turn the Enhanced Security Configuration "On" and then "Off" again

    1. Launch Server Manager and near the top, locate Security Information. 
    2. To the right, select Configure IE ESC__,__ and the configuration window will open.
    3. Select the ON radio button to disable enhanced security for both users and administrators.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Select the OFF radio button to disable enhanced security for both users and administrators.
    6. Click OK.

     

    3.Be sure that the website listed in the warning message has been added to the "Trusted sites"

    1. Go to the "Internet Properties" by typing "Internet Options" into the Windows start button.
    2. Go to the "Security" tab.
    3. Go to "Trusted sites".
    4. Click on "Sites".
    5. Type the website and "Add" it.
