Creating an Azure Cosmos DB account fails

Trying to create an Azure Cosmos DB account. Get an error about the choosen region that is not available for my resource group. But there are only two regions to choose from, and none of them is available. What to do?

    I am not sure if that answer would have helped me solve the problem, because I changed the Workload Type in the registration of Cosmos DB from "learning" to "development/testing" and then I could see the region I wanted.
