Hello,
- Verify Remote Desktop is Enabled on the Desktop Computer
On the desktop computer, open Settings > System > Remote Desktop.
Ensure Enable Remote Desktop is turned on.
2.Ensure the firewall allows Remote Desktop connections and user account has permission to connect remotely
3.Ensure Group Policy is not blocking Remote Desktop:
On the desktop computer, open Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).
Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections
Ensure Allow users to connect remotely by using Remote Desktop Services is set to Enabled.
As far as I know, Windows 10 Home does not support hosting Remote Desktop connections (it can only connect to other computers).
If the desktop computer is running Windows 10 Home, you cannot use RDP to control it. Instead, consider using third-party remote control software.
Best Regards,
Hania Lian
