RefinableString can't be edited on site level

Hi

As an organisation we reserved the last 15 RefinableStrings in the search schema to be used on a site level. When I go to the search schema on a communication site, I can't edit one of those refinable strings. Every option is greyed out. Is there a setting I can/must change to be able to use the RefinableString-fields on a communication site?

Thank you in advance

Sven

    Hi @Anonymous

From Search go to "Schema" in the Site Settings. Here the settings can be edited.

It turned out that we clicked the (very similar) "search schema" in the column "Site Collection Administration". This is refer to the Site Collection level search settings.
