To connect your Azure Stack Edge device to the Azure environment, ensure you have a supported Azure subscription and the necessary permissions.

Supported Azure Subscriptions:

• Azure Stack Edge requires an active Azure subscription for billing and device management.
• Supported subscription types include:
  • Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA)
  • Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)
  • Microsoft Azure Sponsorship
• Ensure your subscription is enabled for Azure Stack Edge resources

Required Permissions:

• You need Owner or Contributor access at the resource group level for the following resources:
  • Azure Stack Edge
  • IoT Hub
  • Azure Storage
• To create an order in the Azure Edge Hardware Center, ensure the Microsoft.EdgeOrder provider is registered in your subscription.

By ensuring you have a supported subscription, the necessary permissions, and the required resource providers registered, you should be able to connect your Azure Stack Edge device to the Azure environment without encountering authorization issues.
