What are the steps to distribute or publish an EXE/MSI application on the Microsoft Download Center (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download)?

I have found information on publishing to the Microsoft Store (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/publish/?tabs=individual%2Cmsix-pwa-getting-started), but I cannot find any references for the Microsoft Download Center.

Additionally, how does the process of publishing an app on the Microsoft Store differ from that of the Microsoft Download Center?

Is it necessary to publish the app on the Microsoft Store in order for it to be available on the Microsoft Download Center?

The Microsoft Download Center is a centralized platform that serves as a one-stop shop for downloading software updates, drivers, and products from Microsoft. This platform is not open to developers.

These are two independent platforms. You can only publish your app on the Microsoft Store.
