Azure document intelligence pre built Invoice model improvements and pricing.

Question

I want to know what are the improvements that have been made to the invoice model since V3.0 by now. We are considering a model upgrade. I was unable to find sufficient details in the documentation to do a proper comparison.

Also, in pricing does the price depend on the specific model version that we use.

here it is not mentioned. So I assume regardless of the version the same amount must be paid. Is that correct?

The Azure Document Intelligence prebuilt Invoice model has been enhanced with:

• Expanded Language Support: Now supports Arabic, Bulgarian, Greek, Hebrew, Macedonian, Russian, Serbian (Cyrillic), Ukrainian, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
• Additional Currency Recognition: Added support for BAM, BGN, ILS, MKD, RUB, THB, TRY, UAH, and VND.
• Improved Tax Handling: Expanded tax item support for Germany, Spain, Portugal, and English Canada.
• Enhanced Accuracy & Format Handling: Improved extraction accuracy for key fields (e.g., invoice ID, date, amount) and better handling of diverse invoice formats.

Also, in pricing does the price depend on the specific model version that we use.

The pricing is version-independent means, the pricing is based on the number of pages processed and the type of model (pre-built or custom), not the version of the model:

• Free Tier: 0–500 pages per month.
