Does the LTSC licence require an internet connection?

Hello everyone,

I am interested in the LTSC licence. I was wondering if this license requires internet connection during installation. I would also like to know if from time to time, a license confirmation message appears that involves connecting to the internet.

My system does not have an internet connection so I am interested in an office licence that requires as little internet as possible. I have read that the LTSC license does not have such a license confirmation message, could you please verify this for me?

Networking is mainly used for Office activation.

Generally, Office LTSC licence is a volume license, such as Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021. To activate the volume licensed versions of Office, we use KMS or MAK.

For KMS activation, you need a KMS host, and more than 5 KMS clients in your lan. Then the KMS clients need to periodically connect to the KMS host through the network to renew the activation status.

For MAK activation, during first activation, if phone activation fails, online activation is required. Later, if you do not reinstall the Windows system or replace the hard drive, motherboard and other major components, you do not need to connect to the Internet to activate again.
