API-driven provisioning to on-premises Active Directory attributes that support update

I am seeking documentation or references regarding which attributes can be updated through API-driven provisioning to on-premises Active Directory using bulk upload.

It appears that there are multiple attributes that can only be set during the creation of an on-premises user. While some of these restrictions are understandable, others seem less justifiable.

Although the attribute mapping is comprehensive, it does not guarantee that the actual attributes can be updated via the agent. Many are simply ignored by the provisioning process, and there is often no feedback provided regarding the reasons for this.

Therefore, it would be beneficial to have a reference detailing what can and cannot be updated, ideally a table outlining the standard attributes and the actions that can be performed on each of them.
