We are having issues with teams assignments. A power point is uploaded for the students to work on individually in teams, but it is saved for them in their one drive and accessible, but just not visible for us or refreshing. How can we fix this please?

    Hi @Becky Mills

In Microsoft Teams for Education, you encounter a situation where PowerPoint files are saved in students' personal OneDrive instead of in the shared library of the team or course.

    Please try the following solutions:

    1. Sharing permissions for attachments: Make sure that when you create an assignment, the sharing permissions for attachments are set to "Everyone can edit" or "Everyone can view". This way, when students open the attachment, the file is saved in the shared library of the team instead of their personal OneDrive.
    2. Use the "Student copies" option in the Teams assignment feature: When adding an attachment, select "Create a copy for each student". This way, each student will get an independent copy, and the teacher can view and correct each student's assignment without affecting other students' files.
    3. Check OneDrive settings: Make sure the sharing settings of OneDrive allow teachers to access students' files. Students can share files with teachers through the sharing feature of OneDrive and set appropriate permissions.
    4. Use the "Files" tab in Teams: In the "Files" tab of the team, create a shared folder and upload the assignment attachments to the folder. This way, all students and teachers can access and edit these files.
    5. Use a shared library: Make sure students upload files to the team's shared library, not their personal OneDrive. This way, all teachers and students can access and view the files.

I am not sure why but I have tried to reply to both comments and neither option works allows the comment to save. Unfortunately the reply is not helpful as we have already done all of the things listed. So prior to creating the assignment we did all of the above. The students are accessing a student can edit powerpoint via assignments, however does it affect it if they 'hand it in' or if it is 'returned'. In essence some files are just not syncing
