Almalinux 8.10 not supported by Azure Update Manager

I am currently using a PaaS data platform solution that uses Almalinux 8.9 for its VMs instances. This OS is a fork of RHEL. This version is supported by Azure Update Manager for operating system patching. As part of our routine maintenance, regular OS patching is a critical requirement for security and stability.
In the latest version of the platform, the base operating system has been upgraded to Almalinux 8.10. However, I have noticed that this version is currently not supported by Azure Update Manager. This creates a challenge for us since our patching workflows rely on Azure's tooling for automated and managed updates, which is not applicable for Almalinux 8.10 at this time.
Could you please provide any insight or an estimated timeline on when support for Almalinux 8.10 will be available in Azure Update Manager? Additionally, any guidance or recommended interim solutions to manage OS patching for this version in Azure would be greatly appreciated.

One option is to manually apply updates using the dnf package manager. You can log in to your AlmaLinux 8.10 VMs and run the sudo dnf check-update command to check for available updates, followed by sudo dnf update -y to install them. If you prefer to automate this, you could set up a cron job to run these commands on a regular schedule.
