Accessing older version of Office

I have just bought a new lap top which has come with Windows 10.
On my old lap top I had 'Office Home and Student' software - I still have the original CD and product key.

Is there a way I can transfer the software from my old lap top to my new one? (My new one doesn't have anywhere to put a CD in).

    Three methods:

    1. use USB external CD ROM drive
    2. copy your Office Home and Student' software on a Cloud storage, then download it from your new laptop
    3. create a share folder on your old laptop, put Office Home and Student' software there, then access to share folder from new laptop.

You can mount the disk in another pc and then access it via a network connection to do the installation.

Yes! You can transfer Office Home and Student to your new laptop using these steps:

Check License Eligibility – Go to your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com) and check if your Office license allows multiple installations.

Uninstall from Old Laptop – If your license allows only one device, uninstall Office from your old laptop.

Download Office on New Laptop – Visit https://www.office.com, sign in with your Microsoft account, and download Office.

Activate with Your Product Key – During installation, enter your original product key from the CD case.

Since your new laptop lacks a CD drive, downloading directly from Microsoft is the easiest method. Let me know if you need further help!
