Problem creating an "Azure DevOps Project" with e.g. ASP.NET Core + SQL Database

When creating an "Azure DevOps Project" in the portal with e.g. ASP.NET Core + SQL Database, no Location for the database server is listed. I cannot select an item for the the database server location:
