How can I have WSL 2 on my Windows 10 Education versioned PC?

I am trying to upgrade from WSL 1 to WSL 2 on my PC. However, when I write the command "wsl --set-version Ubuntu-16.04 2", the command isn't recognized and instead the Powershell interpreter takes me back to a list of all other supported options and arguments for the wsl cmdlet. Going to the docs on WSL 2, I have tried upgrading my Windows 10 Education to the Windows version 2004 but it doesn't materialize. When I installed the Windows Upgrade Assistant in order to effectively upgrade(Which I thought was the main problem), a pop-up at the end of the exercise of updating indicated that my PC settings aren't yet supported on my version of Windows 10. Is there a way I can just simply get WSL 2 on my PC, or simply upgrade to the Window versions that seem to better be supported by WSL 2? Quality help will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

WSL 2 is currently not supported in the Q&A forums, the supported products are listed over here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/products (more to be added later on).

You can ask the experts in the dedicated WSL 2 forum over here:

For Windows 10 updating issues, you can ask over here:
