Hi, my computer doesn’t have vmcompute.exe, and now I can't install Ubuntu in WSL2 (but I can in WSL1). I downloaded Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store and set WSL2 as the default, but the installation always fails with error code 0x80370114.

I have enabled everything in my BIOS, tried enabling only the necessary options (VM and system for Linux) in "Turn Windows features on or off," but it still doesn’t work. I also tried installing Ubuntu using both CMD and PowerShell, but it didn’t work either.

I even turned off Windows Security, but I still can't use Ubuntu.

How can I fix this?

PS: I am using Windows 11 Home on my ASUS notebook (I purchased Windows 11 from its official website), and I have WSL installed.

Here is my WSL version information:

powershell PS C:\Users\ASUS> wsl --version

WSL version: 2.4.11.0

Kernel version: 5.15.167.4-1

WSLg version: 1.0.65

MSRDC version: 1.2.5716

Direct3D version: 1.611.1-81528511

DXCore version: 10.0.26100.1-240331-1435.ge-release

Windows version: 10.0

However, when I install Ubuntu using CMD or PowerShell and restart my computer, nothing happens.

PS C:\Users\ASUS> systeminfo | findstr /B /C:"OS Name" /C:"OS Version" OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Home Single Language OS Version: 10.0.26100 N/A Build 26100
