Why am I receiving a "Remote desktop license issue" alert when trying to log in to a server via Remote Desktop from a specific PC, while other PCs can connect without any problems?

Here’s a clearer version of your text: I am receiving the following alert when I try to log in to a server through Remote Desktop: "Remote desktop license issue: There is a problem with your remote desktop license, and your session will be disconnected in 60 minutes. Contact your system administrator to fix this problem." Previously, I could log in via Remote Desktop from this PC without any issues. However, starting today, I’m seeing this alert. Other PCs don’t have this problem when logging in via Remote Desktop, and even a new PC can connect without any issues. Additionally, I am able to get an RDP CAL (Client Access License), and the PC is visible on the RDS CAL server. Only a few PCs are experiencing this issue. Can you please help me resolve it?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community forum.

The message is a known symptom reported by Microsoft:

Your session will be disconnected in 60 minutes message when you connect to RDS - Windows Server | Microsoft Learn

First confirm your equipment environment so that we can accurately analyze the cause of the problem:

Operating system version of the server.

Whether the device is added to a domain.

For Windows Server 2019 as an example, you can first check the RD Licensing configuration

You can use any of the following methods to check the RD Licensing configuration, depending on how you manage your servers.

I hope this helps. If you have any follow-up questions, please contact us.

    Best regards

    Jacen
