Downgrade from datacenter to standard licenses

Dears,

I assigned my VMs on the datacenter license i need to downgrade it to standard.

How can i do this?

its an overload cost on my environment.

    Hello,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

    Based on the description, I understand your question is related to downgrade.

    You can change to certain other editions. You can change from Standard to Datacenter, or change from Datacenter to Datacenter.

    But you can't change from Datacenter to Standard edition.

    Licensing for virtual servers can be more cost-effective than you think. With datacenter edition, if you have enough datacenter licenses on hand to cover the total number of cores of the hosts running your virtual servers, you can run as many servers, using datacenter edition (you might want to look into a multi-activation-key or MAK), as your virtual host hardware can handle.
