How to resize my Azure instance size to D2s_v5

We want to upgrade our virtual machine from D2s_v3 to D2s_v5(which we can find in reserved VM pricing), but we cannot locate it in my Virtual Machine Resize option.

When resizing a VM, it's important to choose the right SKU based on the signals from the VM to determine whether you need more CPU, memory, or storage capacity:

If the VM is running a CPU-intensive workload, such as a database server or a web server with high traffic, you may need to choose a SKU with more CPU cores.

If the VM is running a memory-intensive workload, such as a machine learning model or a big data application, you may need to choose a SKU with more memory.

If the VM is running out of storage capacity, you may need to choose a SKU with more storage.

You can check your quota usage using:

az vm list-usage --location "East US" -o table

Hi @eMagicJamesOng-5127 ,

resizing directly from D2s_v3 to D2s_v5 isn't possible.

This is because the Ds_v3 series is using a local storage (temp drive) and Ds_v5 series doesn't have a local storage (temp drive).

But there is a workaround available: How do I migrate from a VM size with local temp disk to a VM size with no local temp disk?

But I couldn't find the virtual machine size that I wanted (I can see D2s_v5 in my reserve instant pricing)
