I am replacing an SCCM server, but the clients are still looking for the old server.

Therefore, I would like to ask: What records need to be modified in SCCM for the clients to function properly?

Microsoft Configuration Manager Deployment
Microsoft Configuration Manager Deployment
Microsoft Configuration Manager: An integrated solution for for managing large groups of personal computers and servers.Deployment: The process of delivering, assembling, and maintaining a particular version of a software system at a site.

    Hi,

    Hope everything is going well.

1,May we know how do you configure your boundaries and boundary groups? Do you still have boundaries for the old site listed Do you have overlapping boundaries?

2,If you have also changed the site code, You can run a script to change the site code for the clients, once you run this script the clients will contact the new SCCM server.

    Refer to:

Note: The non-Microsoft link is just for your reference.

3,What do the logs say? Kindly check the ClientLocation.log and LocationServices.log to see if there is any further information.

Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns/queries.

    Best regards,

    Simon
