I had the same issue, it was for the email associated with my university. I contacted my university's IT desk and they were able to reset it. I had to set up the authenticator again after but I was able to sign in. If your email is the one associated with work or school I would contact your IT department. If not I would contact Microsoft support directly.

Hi there
I'm stuck in a frustrating cycle- my authenticator app is asking me to use the authenticator app for MFA? I can't use it while I'm on it?
Also when trying to login online- no code is being sent to my app?
I really need you help, it´s really frustanting this question.
