Unable to Verify Indian Phone Number for Azure Free Account Registration

I am facing an issue while trying to register for an Azure Free Account. During the phone number verification step, my Indian phone number is not getting verified. I have attempted this multiple times using different devices, different phone numbers, and different networks, but the issue persists.

Steps Tried:

  1. Used multiple Indian phone numbers, but verification failed every time.
  2. Tried registering from different devices (mobile, laptop, and desktop).
  3. Switched networks (Wi-Fi and mobile data), but still unable to complete verification.
  4. Cleared browser cache and tried different browsers, but the issue remains.
  5. Attempted at different times of the day, but still unsuccessful.

This issue is preventing me from completing the Azure account registration process. Kindly assist me in resolving this at the earliest. Please let me know if you require any additional information.

    Here are some additional information:

    You can use any phone number for verification as long as it meets the requirements. The phone number that you enter for verification isn't stored as a contact number for the account.

    • A Voice-over-IP (VoiP) phone number can't be used for the phone verification process
    • Check that your phone can receive calls or SMS messages from a United States-based telephone number.
    • Double-check the phone number that you enter, including the country code that you select in the drop-down menu.
    • If your phone doesn't receive text messages (SMS), try the Call me option.

    Make sure to select the right country code in the drop-down and enter the phone number without the country code.

    One option might be to call Microsoft's Global Support: Global Customer Service phone numbers

    Maybe they are able to help.

    Another option might be to give it a try with using a smartphone or a different device and a "private/incognito window" of the browser to get the registration/validation done.

    I've noticed a couple of questions/threads related to this issue in the past. But none of them gave an answer how to fix this or if it was fixed at all.
