Recovering access to an account so that I can cancel it

I have an Office365 account with an "******@domainname.onmicrosoft.com" username. Every month, I get an invoice for this account.

I am logged into this account on my Mac, where it shows this license.

I want to cancel this account.

When I try to log in to the account on the web, 2FA prompts me to use my Authenticator app to log in.

When I open the Authenticator app, I am logged into the same account.

But there are no authentication numbers to enter.

So, I cannot seem to log in to this account where I need to to cancel it.

I have spent a few hours reading support documentation, which seems to direct me to contact support.

To open a support ticket, it appears I must be...logged in.

Is there any way to log in at this point, or to cancel the account without logging in?

    Hi @Keith Anderson

Because "Office Mac" tag is mainly for general usage issues of Office for Mac, but your issue is more related to your account and cancel subscription.

Your issue is out of my support scope. Thanks for your understanding.

Regarding identity verification issue, that you are unable to log in to your account, I suggest you post a new thread in Q&A forum with the "Microsoft Authenticator" tag.

Besides, if you have turned on two-step verification, did you set alternate methods to get a verification?

If you can sign in your account, but still can't cancel your subscription, I suggest you contact to Microsoft support: https://vsa.services.microsoft.com/en-us/v1.0/?partnerid=8520E38F-0A89-49CC-80ED-5E40DA61C206&product=office&issue=Billing-CancelSubscription&authtype=msa&modality=callback

Hope the information could help you.

    Hi,

If this is “out of scope” I am not sure why you wouldn’t refer it to someone for whom it is “in scope.” I am not an expert in your tagging taxonomy.

I have apparently not set up more reliable 2FA methods than Microsoft Authenticator, for the account I am trying to cancel. So as already explained, I cannot log in to that account.

I will simply issue chargebacks on the credit card Microsoft is invoicing.
