Hello
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Ensure that the Synaptics driver has the necessary permissions to run. You can run the program as an administrator.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install.Find the DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade entry, right-click it, and select Modify. Change the value from 1 to 0.
Note: Please back up the registry before you change it.
- The software suite might be corrupted. Uninstall the current Synaptics software from Control Panel > Programs and Features, then download and install the latest version from your laptop manufacturer's website.
- Ensure the touchpad is enabled: 5. Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve hardware compatibility issues. Check your laptop manufacturer's website for the latest BIOS update.
