Hi,

I have been migrating mails to our exchange online, the issue is that since yesterday when we import our pst to the newly migrated mails they get stuck on "Analysis in progress 0%" the pst are not excesively big and we have imported other pst files previously without problems we checked that the files where impoted to the blob container and the mails have correctly migrated, we even tried to run another job to import one of those that got stuck without success. What is causing this problem, the Analysis has been running for a whole day now and is not advancing, is there any solution to that issue?

Thanks

    Hi @Raul Sánchez

    Thanks for posting your query!

What is causing this problem, the Analysis has been running for a whole day now and is not advancing, is there any solution to that issue?

If your PST import job is stuck on "Analysis in progress" for an extended period, there are a few potential causes and solutions to consider:

Check PST File Size - Although you mentioned that the PST files are not excessively large, ensure that they do not exceed the recommended size of 20 GB. Larger files may lead to delays in processing.

Concurrent Imports - If you are importing multiple PST files into the same mailbox, the ingestion rate may be affected. Each file imported sequentially into the same mailbox can slow down the overall process.

Service Performance - The Import service operates in a shared environment, and performance can be impacted by server workload or transient issues. This can lead to delays in the analysis phase.

Retry the Import Job - If the job remains stuck, consider canceling the current import job and creating a new one. Ensure that the PST files are correctly uploaded to the Azure Storage location before starting the new job.

By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the issue with the import job being stuck.

    Hi @Raul Sánchez

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

According to your description, your problem is that the PST import is stuck on “Analysis in progress 0%”.

To help you better, can I know more information about what you describe as “we import our pst to the newly migrated mails”? For example, the environment before migration. Also, if possible, please provide relevant screenshots for our analysis.

For the information we know so far, here are some suggestions that we hope will help you.

    1. Check your network and browser. Please try switching your network to another network or switching to another browser for import to check if it is network or browser related.
    2. check the PST file. a corrupted PST file may also cause unexpected results. try importing with a new file.

For more information on how long it takes to import PST files into mailboxes, refer to the link: Importing PST files FAQ | Microsoft Learn
