How to remove Orphaned DFS Replication Group from Server 2022

Hi Support,

As i create new DFS Replication group on Windows Server 2022.

Now I want to delete the old/orphaned DFS replication group from Server 2012

The problem is when we launch file explorer, all public folders are become unresponsive, until i logon to Server 2022, right click on Replication > select > refresh then it switch over to new dfs replication group (by default it shows the orphaned dfs replication group, instead of new replication) after refresh (orphaned group disappear) then only shows new group and then everyone happy happy. So what is the best practice to remove orphaned DFS replication group. Thank you.

You can try to open a command prompt as an administrator and run the following command to delete the corresponding DFS replication group:

dfsradmin RG Delete /Rgname: "replication group name"
