When creating a Hub, through the AI Foundry portal or the Azure Portal, it requires me to "Connect Azure AI Services or Azure OpenAI Service." I do not want to do this. How can I create a hub without them?

A tutorial that shows the hub creation pages: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-studio/how-to/create-azure-ai-resource?tabs=portal.

    Hi Rishab Mehta,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum! Thank you for your question.

When creating an Azure AI Foundry Hub, it is typically required to connect to Azure AI Services or Azure OpenAI Service. However, if you prefer not to connect these services, you can follow these steps to create a hub without them:

    1. Create a New Hub:
      1. Navigate to the Azure portal and search for Azure AI Foundry.
      2. Select "+ New Azure AI" to create a new resource.
      3. Enter the required details such as hub name, subscription, resource group, and location.
    2. Skip AI Services Connection: On the "Connect Azure AI Services" step, you can choose to skip this step by not selecting any AI services. This will allow you to create the hub without connecting to Azure AI Services or Azure OpenAI Service.
    3. Configure Storage and Networking:
      1. Proceed to the "Storage" tab and select an existing storage account or create a new one.
      2. On the "Networking" tab, configure the managed virtual network settings as needed.
    4. Review and Create: Review the configuration settings and select "Create" to finalize the hub creation process.
