Why I got different numbers in page_view event in BQ/PBI and GA

Hi all!

Though question here.

I'm using PowerBI to visualize raw GA4 in BQ. The query data engineers created already unnested all the nested fields in BQQ, so in PBI we "just have to" manipulate the dimensions and metrics as we need.

In this scenario, I'm having some trouble in understanding the values for "Views" for specific URLs. The values don't match and are not even close to the ones I get from the GA4 standard reports > Engagement > Pages and Screens. Or In GA4 > Explorations using the dimension "Page Location" and as metric "sessions" and "views".

The difference in the number of sessions I get it, because of the estimation GA4 does using HyperLog++ algorithm.

But  the difference in the number of views I don't. Plus, they are a lower in number than sessions in PBI/BQ. It's odd!

EXAMPLE for a period of 3 days in Jan 2025:

GA4 Exploraations:

https://abc.pt/example

sessions - 205

views - 294

EXAMPLE PBI/BQ:

https://abc.pt/example

sessions - 163

views - 30

Thank you
