For example, I uploaded a video with English audio and a subtitle language Hindi. it works perfectly but If we reindex the video with a different language (subtitle in French) then the subtitle in Hindi language that was uploaded previously will lost. But we are required to keep both subtitles. Is there any API which generates a new subtitle but does not replace the old one?

    Hello @Loveneet Chahal,

Greetings and Welcome to Microsoft Q&A! Thanks for posting the question.

When using Azure AI Video Indexer, reindexing a video with a new subtitle language replaces any previously generated subtitles, as the API does not support adding new subtitles without overwriting the existing ones.

For example, if you upload a video with English audio and generate Hindi subtitles, then reindex it to generate French subtitles, the Hindi subtitles will be lost.

To retain multiple subtitles, you need to manage subtitle files separately, as the current functionality does not support keeping previously generated subtitles during reindexing.

However, I encourage you to submit a feature request for adding the "Open in New Tab" option through the Azure Feedback Forum to Microsoft for future improvements. Here's the link to the Azure Feedback Forum: Post idea · Community (azure.com).

I Hope this helps. Do let me know if you have any further queries.
