You will only be notified if the message arrives in your inbox.
You will not be notified if the message is moved to a folder.

    Hi @IniobongNkanga-8038 ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

According to your description, you are experiencing an issue where you cannot receive notifications for certain rules. Here are some possible reasons why this may be happening:

    1. Make sure the rule is set to display desktop alerts. You can check this by going to Rules > Manage Rules and Alerts > Change Rule > Edit Rule Settings. Make sure the option to display desktop alerts is enabled.
    2. If you are using a new version of Outlook, it has a known limitation that email notifications for rule moves are not displayed. This feature is still under development.
    3. Desktop alert notifications do not appear during the initial synchronization of an email account or when you request a manual send/receive.
    4. The user in question may have specific settings or permissions that are different from other users. Double-check the rule settings for that specific user.

Please feel free to contact me for any updates. And if this helps, don't forget to mark it as an answer.

    Best,

    Jake Zhang
