Azure Recovery VM across tenant

Question

I tried to restore Azure VM on a portal, however when I tried to select a target resource group (on different tenant) I did not see the target RG here.
I selected the "Create a new VM" option.

What happened?
Are we unable to recovery Azure VM across tenant?

In short - no. You can restore across subscriptions - but not tenants.
