Do Not Delivery Before... not actually scheduling to send

I have been dealing with this problem for a couple weeks now. It used to work for a long time and then all of a sudden it stopped.

I work in research and have to schedule an email to be sent 24 hours before meeting with participants. I am using Classic Outlook and when I set up the "Do not deliver before" feature and PRESS SEND on the email, it automatically goes into my Outbox as a drafted email. It will then not send.

Below is a picture of my Outbox. You'll see the bottom email is scheduled correctly and will send. The other 3 are stuck in draft mode, even though it is set up correctly and I pressed Send to schedule the email.outbox

    Hi @Christina

    Welcome to our forum!

Here are some steps you may want to take:

    1. Check Email Settings:

    • Open the email in your Outbox>Options>Delay Delivery.
    • Ensure the "Do not deliver before" date and time are set correctly.

    2. Check Outlook Settings:

    • File>Options>Advanced>In the Send and receive section, enable Send immediately when connected>OK.

    3. Check Rules:

    • File>Mange Rules&Alerts>Check whether you set a rule for delayed sending.

    4. Disable Cached Exchange Mode:

    • File>Account Settings>Account Settings>Select your account and click Change.
    • Uncheck the Use Cached Exchange Mode option and restart Outlook.

In addition, please ensure that Outlook is running at the scheduled time of the email. If Outlook is closed, the email might not be sent as scheduled.

    Hope it helps!
