My Static Web App was taken down as well as its resource.

I deployed my first Static Web App a few months ago but it has been taken down. I am not entirely sure why. I went with the Static Web App route because I had a simple website with a basic API call, and since there was no hosting fee, I thought it the ideal way to go. However, I was locked out of my Azure account about a month later for about a month because verification was needed? After that, I could not find the resource I made for my Static Web App. I still own the domain but whenever I visit the site, it says

"404 Web Site not found.

You may be seeing this error due to one of the reasons listed below :

  • Custom domain has not been configured inside Azure. See how to map an existing domain to resolve this.
  • Client cache is still pointing the domain to old IP address. Clear the cache by running the command ipconfig/flushdns.

Checkout App Service Domain FAQ for more questions."

I am not sure why it was taken down, and I am not sure how to recover it since I am not able to contact support for a technical issue.

    Hi @tortuganolapools ,
Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
Looks like your Static Web App might have been deleted or is no longer accessible because of the lockout from your Azure account. If you can't see the resource in the Azure portal, it might be gone. If it was deleted in the last seven days, you can repurchase the same domain under the same subscription without extra charges. But if it's been more than seven days, you'll need to get in touch with Azure support to help restore the domain.

Also, the 404 error you're seeing could be due to incorrect custom domain configuration in Azure or because your client cache is still pointing to an old IP address. Clearing your DNS cache as suggested might fix the issue.
