Unable to add account in Azure Data Studio

I am trying to add my work account in Azure Data Studio so that I can connect to a database in Azure. But after I login, I get this error and the account is not getting added. I am not sure what this error is, and it doesn't seem like an auth issue. Has anyone seen this before?

I have reproduced the issue and was able to add an account in Azure Data Studio.

Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1.Ensure that there are no ongoing service outages or maintenance activities affecting Azure services. You can check the Azure status page for any reported issues.

2.Make sure that you are using the latest version of Azure Data Studio. Updating to the latest version can sometimes resolve such issues.

3.Azure Data Studio caches some authentication-related tokens. To ensure you're starting with a clean slate:

Open the Azure Data Studio settings (Command Palette → Preferences → Settings).

Search for and clear any stored accounts under Azure: Cloud Account.

Attempt to re-add your account.

4.If the issue persists, try connecting to your Azure database using another tool such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or even the sqlcmd utility. This can help isolate whether the issue is specific to Azure Data Studio.

Thanks for your response. I have gone through the steps but unfortunately the issue persists. I am trying to connect to Azure Postgres by the way. But that doesn't matter because the issue is in adding an account which is a step before getting to the creation of the database connection. My team members are able to connect which rules out any issues on the service side.

Hi! Thanks for the response. That item is checked in Settings.

There are two checkboxes, "Http: System Certificates" and "Http: Proxy Strict SSL". Both are checked.

Just to be sure, I unchecked either of them and tried too. Still continue to get the error.
