how do i fix this error "[AksHci] This computer does not appear to be configured for deployment."

Hi,

i have an issue with setting up the AKS service on my azure stack hci which is a cluster with 4 nodes,

under the aks extension on windows admin server i got an error message "[AksHci] This computer does not appear to be configured for deployment." instead of the butthom set up.

could you please help me with this, i tried every thing and the issue still persistent.

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Open PowerShell and run Uninstall-AksHci. close the PowerShell session and open a new one before running Install-AksHci again.

Please check that no policies at the subscription or resource group level that might be blocking the deployment.

Close all open PowerShell windows, open a new PowerShell session as administrator, and run the following command on all nodes in your Azure Local.

Install-PackageProvider -Name NuGet -Force Install-Module -Name PowershellGet -Force -Confirm:$false

You must close all existing PowerShell windows again to ensure that loaded modules are refreshed.

Install the AKS-HCI PowerShell module by running the following command on all nodes in your Azure Local.

Install-Module -Name AksHci -Repository PSGallery -Force -AcceptLicense

Check that your network settings are correctly configured, and AKS extension is properly installed.

yes, i have run them on each node

Hello Rania BOUNEB,

Based on provided error message the warning suggests that the PackageManagement module is in use, likely because an active PowerShell session is holding it.

Please close all the PowerShell sessions and reopen the PowerShell as run administrator with Install-PackageProvider -Name NuGet -Force -Confirm:$false

Update-Module -Name PackageManagement -Force
