Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with the status of my Microsoft 365 E5 Developer subscription, which appears inconsistent across different pages. Here are the details:

  1. On the Microsoft 365 Admin Center product page, my subscription Microsoft 365 E5 Developer (without Windows and Audio Conferencing) Trial is shown as expiring on May 3, 2025.
  2. However, on the Microsoft 365 Developer Program page, it states that the subscription expired on December 24, 2024, with the following messages:
    • “This subscription expired on Dec 24, 2024.”
      • “This subscription is currently inactive. Please take advantage of your free trial subscription to develop solutions for Microsoft 365.”
        • Non-admin users will lose access on January 23, 2025, and the subscription will be deleted on February 11, 2025 if no action is taken.

Additionally, I previously received an email confirming the subscription renewal was successful until February 2025. I have consistently used the subscription for development and testing purposes in accordance with the terms of use. However, I did not receive any notifications about the subscription renewal or status changes before or after its expiration. Due to the lack of timely notifications, I was unaware of the change in status and could not take appropriate action, which has impacted my development work.

In terms of usage, this subscription has been primarily used for developing and testing solutions based on Microsoft 365 services. Activities include:

  • Learning and mastering relevant technologies;
  • Validating application functionality;
  • Optimizing business processes.

I have ensured that all activities comply with the usage policy of the Microsoft 365 E5 Developer subscription, and it has not been used for non-development or production purposes.

To resolve this issue, I would like your assistance in clarifying the following:

  1. Why is there a discrepancy in the subscription status across different pages?
  2. Is my subscription still active and usable for development purposes?
  3. If the subscription has expired or is about to be deleted, is there a way to restore or extend it?

Thank you for your support. Please let me know if you need any additional information from me.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Eric Zhou
