Php Webapp slow down and dropping connection to database

I have web app using php and also mysql flexible server, my application was working fine until it decided to slow down and hit or miss drop database connection. I thought my queries were not written well at first until i started experiencing problems with phpmyAdmin, it keeps loading and its very unresponsive. What could probably be the issue. Web App -> Premium v3 P0V3 at 2 instances and MySQL Flexible Server - > General Purpose (2-96 vCores) - Balanced configuration for most common workloads.
