    Hi Rejith,

Thank you for your post in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Discount lists are an add-on feature but can be used to introduce discounts based on the number of units purchased. As an example, let's assume a regular price list has a printer with a unit price of $150.00. In such a case, a discount list could be introduced with different percentage discounts based on the number of units ordered. For instance, customers purchasing between 101 and 500 units may receive a 5-percent discount, those procuring between 501 and 5,000 units may enjoy a 10-percent discount, and those acquiring more than 5,000 units could benefit from a 15-percent discount.

To create discounts in the product catalog, go to the application settings and click on Discount Lists. Under this section, add discounts to your products by providing the discount percentage.

Note: For every discount, it is essential to set a starting and ending quantity along with the discount rate to be applied.

After setting up the discounts, go to the price list and choose the relevant item. Here, go ahead and apply the pre-configured discounts to the chosen item in the price list screen. Note: In General settings check Discount calculation method, each item should be Enable.

To access the Price List, follow these steps:

Use the navigation pane on the left side of the page to choose the Sales area.

Within the Sales area, navigate to the bottom of the screen and select "App Settings" from the ensuing menu.

Under the Product Catalog grouping within the App Settings, locate and click on "Discount Lists."

Upon accessing the Discount Lists section, proceed to the command bar and select the option labelled "New" to initiate the creation of a new discount list.

In the Create Discount List dialog, you need to enter some information as shown below:

Start Quantity: You enter 10 as this is the minimum number of units that have to be purchased in order to obtain the discount. End Quantity:

You enter 15 as this is the maximum number of units that are eligible for the discount. Percentage: Set the discount percentage to 5, which means that the items listed will be discounted by this percentage within the specified range of quantity.

Make sure that this percentage applies to the quantities between 10 and 15. Save the entered information. For higher quantities, additional discounts can be set up in a similar manner:

Set the Begin Quantity to 16, which means that at least this many quantities must be ordered to qualify for the next discount.

Set the Quantity of 20 for the final number of pieces for which the special discount would apply.

Enter Percentage as 10, the increment in discount rate for numbers ranging from 16 to 20 pieces. Save the newly added discount settings.

In order to offer the discounts to the item as required, the user needs to set up a price list. Proceed with these steps: Click the Product Catalog page in the user interface. Go to the Price Lists menu and choose it. In the Price Lists window, use the command bar and click on the "New" button to add a new price list. Within the Active Price Lists view, again, use the command bar and click on "New" to add a new price list. Name the new price list as "Wholesale." Leave the Start Date and End Date fields blank so that the price list will stay active forever. Save the newly created price list for finalizing the process. With these steps, you should be able to create the discount lists and price lists as per the instructions given above. If you still have a problem, let us know in the comments.
