how to obtain Office 2019 serial number

Hello,

I had a desktop custom built with 2019 Office Home /Student on it.

It came with the purchase.

It's a stand-alone app, not part of 365 (retail version?)

There is no information available (to my knowledge) ... not under my account > purchased apps.

How can I transfer it in case I get a new machine / keep it without being part of 365?

Hi @KlausRossler

According to your description, the old machine included Office Home & Student 2019 as a part of the purchase instead of being added by you. It is an OEM license that stays with the old machine. It cannot be transferred.

If you purchased Office products separately, after binding your Microsoft account to the Office license, Office will be displayed in My account > Purchased apps. You only need to uninstall Office on the old device and install it on the new device to complete the transfer.
