Issues with Teams on Iphone

Good morning,

Recently, I have been experiencing issues with Teams.

As soon as I open Teams on my iPhone, it immediately redirects me to the Authenticator app, after which I am taken straight to a Microsoft error page.

The error I receive is as follows:

Correlation Id: 9b34f882-543f-4f4e-a5f6-ab157eb8fa3f Timestamp: 2024-12-20T09:39:37.000Z DPTI: 92E868A9-9C3E-469A-82D6-1D007D25CFBF Error Tag: 4vlpo Error Code: -42005

When I click "Cancel," I can proceed in Teams without any issues. However, every time I open the app again, the issue described above recurs.

I have tried logging out and reinstalling the app, but unfortunately, this has not resolved the problem.

I do not encounter any issues on my laptop.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm cautiously optimistic to have fixed it, at least for now and the couple of devices I tried it on:

1.      Uninstall Teams and reinstall from app store (probably not necessary, but doesn't hurt either).

2.      You will be presented with the out of box experience, which has your previously used accounts conveniently listed. Do not tap any of them!

3.      Instead, in the upper right of the screen, tap "Edit".

4.      Remove all accounts from the list.

5.      Re-add the MSA in Teams.

2. Clear App Data: Go to your iPhone Settings > Teams > Clear app data or reset settings if available.
3. Remove Accounts from Authenticator: If you have multiple accounts in the Authenticator app, try removing the account associated with Teams and then re-add it.
4. Reset iPhone Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset your Wi-Fi networks, passwords, cellular settings, and VPN/APN settings.
5. Check Date and Time Settings: Ensure your iPhone's date and time are set correctly. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and enable "Set Automatically."
6. Authentication Settings: Go into the Authenticator app and check the settings for the account you are using with Teams. Ensure that the settings for two-factor authentication (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA) are correctly configured.

Any updates on this? This seems to be an issue that is wider than you may think as I'm aware of no less than 10 people having this issue thus far, and a simple Google search shows way more...
