Cannot confirm domain

Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

I have now removed all domains associations with Microsoft, and now i cannot add my domain.

So right now nothing works, like e-mail, website etc. because this is not possible.

Errors faced by user:

We have confirmed that you own the domain ABCD.com , but we can't add it to your account because the domain is already added to a different Microsoft 365 organization: XXXXXXX.onmicrosoft.com. Sign in to the admin center as an admin for that organization, and remove the domain ABCD.com. Try resetting the admin password if you can't sign in. You should be able to add the domain ABCD.com here after taking that step. If you can't access XXXXXXX.onmicrosoft.com, please contact our support team for help.

  • The issue is that we don’t have access to any previous admin account like XXXXXX.onmicrosoft.com since this was setup by a company which is not existing anymore (Telenor) back in the days.
  • After that we changed over to use Google Workspace and now want to go back to Microsoft Exchange and therefore trying to add the domain on a new setup. 
  • We haven’t tried resetting the password, because we don’t know the login username to reset the password to. 
  • We cannot remove the setup from earlier, since this was an external company who had the access to this back then.
  •  We have tried to add a TXT and also a MX and also a file to our domain, but nothing helps. It is just saying that this domain already have been setup earlier, and we need to login to the old admin account, but we still don’t know it…
  • The DNS is 100% correctly as it should be.

    From your description, I understand that you are facing an issue with domain ownership. As the domain ABCD.com is already associated with another M365 organisation and you cannot access the previous admin account.

    Given this situation, the best course of action is to contact Microsoft support, who can assist you in verifying the ownership of the domain and help remove it from the old organisation. When contacting support, please be prepared to provide proof of ownership for the domain. This may include domain registration details, invoices, or any other documents that prove you own ABCD.com.
