Hide workbook tabs in Excel online

Hello,

I want to hide the workbook tabs to use only links. For this I go through the advanced options but it does not work on Excel online, how to hide the workbook tabs on Excel online?

Hi @Orkit

We may hide the workbook tabs via right clicking on tabs you want to hide, then choose "Hide".

But via this way, you need to display at least one Worksheet, and no password is required to unhide tabs.

I dont want to hide tabs, I just wish that the tab bar of the workbook does not appear and that to navigate, only the links are available. And I want to do it on excel online, it is not possible right? It is really very unfortunate !!!

Sorry for my previous misunderstanding.

Yes, your need for Excel online is unable to be achieved. Generally speaking, the web version of Office has fewer settings and features than the Desktop version.

Is there a way to share only one sheet of a workbook? I have for example 2 sheets on my binder and I want to share only the first sheet on OneDrive. I don’t want the other one read or modified. I read that I could go through the option to link this sheet but in OneDrive the other sheets remain visible.

I don’t want the other one read or modified.

There is currently no OneDrive sharing setting to do this, the Excel cannot fully do this at present. But I think this request is a great idea.

Maybe, you could use "Move or Copy" feature to create a copy for the sheet that you need to share and share the copy instead of the original workbook. You could also insert the shared workbook as an object into the original workbook.
