Event Hub from another Subscription not visible for IoT Hub data route endpoints

Im trying to pass telemetry data from an IoT Hub to an event hub residing in another subscription, under same tenant/directory. I have created a managed identity, and assigned both services to the identity with Subscription-level Owner roles and necessary service roles (event hub owner role for iot hub). In addition, I have enabled System-assigned identities for both services. Both have also unrestricted public network access configured. However, the Event hub is still not listed in the available endpoints when Im trying to create a custom data route endpoint for the event hub in the IoT Hub configuration.

    Hello @Sinipelto,

welcome to this moderated Azure community forum.

The Azure portal has limited functionality, dedicated to the same subscription.

A managed identity is bound to EntraID so this is a challenge when combining multiple subscriptions.

Have you tried to use ARM/Bicep or the Azure CLI?

I checked the AZ CLI command for the IoT Hub endpoints and it seems a connection string should be sufficient:

Please try this together with the subscription ID and other settings.
